Get to know the family at your local family farm
The Filasky Family - John and Cindi, along with their three children Julia, John Jr., and Tim - has been growing fresh fruits and vegetables in New Castle County since 1981. All three children are graduates of the University of Delaware College of Agriculture and Natural Resources with Julia and John Jr. continuing in the day to day operations of the farm.
Together they were chosen as the Delaware Farm Bureau Farm Family of the Year in 2000 and were awarded a New Castle County Conservation Award in 2013 for their use of soil and water conservation practices.
Our produce market is open from late April until mid-November with a range of fresh fruits and vegetables including our own Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, Watermelons, Asparagus and Squash. We also offer U-Pick Strawberries starting in May and U-Pick Pumpkins through October. We have over 20 years of agritourism experience providing fun and educational Fall Farm Tours to school children Pre-K through 3rd Grade.
