Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA for short, is a way for customers and community members to connect with their local farmers and share in the bounty that we grow each year. There are many different methods to administer the CSA, but at it's core, it is a contract between the members and the farmer. In exchange for up front payment, the farmer promises a share of the harvest throughout the year. At Filasky's Produce, we attempt to make our CSA special by providing updates on the farm, tried and true recipes that have been passed down for generations, tips for using and storing the products received, new test crops, and extras throughout the year, like Johnny's Popping Corn and homemade jams.
Recent global events shined a bright light on the fragility of our food supply and caused people to examine where their food comes from. We are proud of our contribution along with the relationships we have with other local farmers and suppliers that form our small part of the local food supply.
We hope you join us for this upcoming 2023 season!
